Description
BODY MAGIC Whitening Pen — 2-Step Set, 3 ml × 2
Overview
Two slim pens and thirty seconds. Paint Step 1 onto the front of the teeth you want treated, paint Step 2 over it before the first dries, wait about half a minute, then brush as normal. No trays, no strips, no lamp, nothing to clip in.
The honest framing, which matters more here than anywhere else in our catalogue: this is a cleansing product, not a bleach. JDB Network declares the Step 1 active, sodium chlorite, as 洗浄剤 — a cleansing agent — and that is exactly what the product does: it works on the film that tea, coffee, red wine, curry and tobacco leave on the enamel surface. It does not change the colour of the tooth underneath. Expect your own shade, more visible. Do not expect a shade jump. More Japanese oral care and Japanese health products.

Who Is This For?
- Coffee, black tea, red wine or curry drinkers who have watched their teeth dull gradually rather than suddenly
- Smokers and ex-smokers dealing with surface film
- Anyone who has looked at in-office bleaching or peroxide trays and wanted to try something lower-commitment first
- Travellers — two 3 ml pens fit anywhere and need nothing else
- Not for: anyone wanting to lighten teeth beyond their natural shade (that needs peroxide under dental supervision), and not for use over crowns, veneers or composite fillings — see Cautions
How to Use
- Brush first, then wipe the teeth dry with a clean tissue or cotton pad. The gel needs a dry surface.
- Twist or click the Step 1 pen until gel appears at the brush tip, and paint a thin layer on the front of each tooth you want treated.
- Before Step 1 dries, paint a thin layer of Step 2 directly over it.
- Wait about 30 seconds.
- Brush your teeth normally with your usual toothpaste. Avoid deeply pigmented food and drink — curry, red wine, espresso — for about half an hour afterwards.
Frequency: The maker's routine is twice daily for two weeks, then two or three times a week to maintain. At that rate a set lasts roughly one to one and a half months.
Full Ingredients
Step 1 (cleansing gel): Water, Sodium Chlorite (cleansing agent), Xanthan Gum, Carrageenan, Sodium Benzoate, Methylparaben, Propylparaben.
Step 2: Water, Glycerin, Carbomer, Polysorbate 20, Citric Acid (pH adjuster), Fragrance (mint type), Methylparaben, Sodium Hydroxide (pH adjuster).
This is the declaration JDB Network publishes, checked against it this run. The functions in brackets are the maker's own: sodium chlorite is declared as a cleansing agent, which is the clearest answer to what this product does. There is no hydrogen peroxide and no carbamide peroxide in either pen.
Contains methylparaben and propylparaben as preservatives — avoid if you know you react to parabens. Rules on oral-care ingredients differ from country to country; if that matters where you live, check your own before ordering.
Cautions
- For use on teeth only. Do not swallow either gel.
- Avoid the gums and the inside of the cheeks. A brief tingle on contact is common; rinse with water if it persists.
- Do not use on broken, sore or inflamed gums, on mouth ulcers, or on cracked enamel.
- Do not use on crowns, veneers, ceramic restorations or composite fillings. The product acts on natural enamel and will not act on dental work, which can leave a visible difference in colour.
- Do not use during active dental treatment — orthodontics, periodontal therapy — without your dentist's agreement.
- Stop using it if irritation, sensitivity or any unusual sensation occurs, and see your dentist.
- If you are pregnant, breastfeeding or under 18, ask a dentist or doctor first. Not for children.
- Contains methylparaben and propylparaben. Avoid if you have a known paraben sensitivity.
- Close the cap firmly after use. Keep out of reach of children. Store away from direct sunlight and heat.
- This is a 化粧品 (cosmetic) in Japan, not a medicine. It does not treat or prevent dental disease — see a dentist about pain, sensitivity or gum problems.

FAQ
Will this actually make my teeth whiter, or is it just cleaning them?
It cleans. The maker declares the Step 1 active as a cleansing agent, and what it works on is the film that coffee, tea, wine, curry and tobacco leave on the enamel surface. The result is your own natural shade, made visible again. It will not change the colour of the tooth underneath. If you want teeth lighter than they naturally are, only peroxide-based treatment under dental supervision does that.
Does it contain hydrogen peroxide?
No — and no carbamide peroxide either. Step 1 is built on sodium chlorite and Step 2 on water, glycerin and pH adjusters including citric acid. That is the reason it is sold in Japan as an ordinary cosmetic (化粧品) rather than as a regulated bleaching product.
Can I use it with sensitive teeth, crowns or fillings?
Sensitive teeth: start at once a day rather than twice and watch how you react. Crowns, veneers and composite fillings: do not use it over them. The product acts on natural enamel and will not act on dental work, so treating the teeth around a restoration can leave a visible difference. If you are in orthodontic or periodontal treatment, ask your dentist first.
How long does one set last?
On the maker's routine — twice daily for a fortnight, then two or three times a week — a set covers roughly one to one and a half months. If you treat both upper and lower front teeth in full every time, expect closer to a month.
Is it allowed where I live?
Rules on oral-care ingredients, and on sodium chlorite in particular, differ from country to country, and we are not able to give you a ruling for yours. We list the full declaration above so you or your dentist can check it against your own rules before you order.
