Description
Ebis Hand Mask — Serum-Soaked Glove Masks for Hands, 36 pcs (18 Pairs)
Overview
Eighteen pairs of serum-soaked glove masks — a five-minute treatment you can do while sitting down, aimed at the part of the body that gets the most sun and the least care. Each pair comes with an outer plastic glove and tape so the serum stays in contact rather than evaporating, and you massage the remainder in instead of rinsing it off.
The serum is a long ingredient list: three collagens, three molecular weights of hyaluronic acid, ceramides, proteoglycan, elastin, silk extract, arbutin, plus placenta extract and royal jelly. Those last two are animal-derived and the royal jelly is a bee product — details the previous version of this page did not mention. See also our Japanese hand care and Japanese sheet masks.
Key Benefits
- ✓ Eighteen pairs in one box, so this is a course of treatments rather than a one-off
- ✓ Occlusive glove-over-glove design keeps the serum against the skin for the full five minutes
- ✓ Serum-heavy formula: three collagens, three hyaluronic acid weights, ceramides, proteoglycan, elastin and silk extract
- ✓ Arbutin included as a non-active brightening ingredient, relevant for hands that show sun marks
- ✓ No rinsing — the remainder is massaged in, so nothing is wasted
- ✓ Shipped from our base in Kobe, Japan with tracking, in the Japanese domestic packaging

Who Is This For?
- Hands that look older than the face — dryness, crepey texture, visible sun marks
- Anyone who wants a treatment step for the hands rather than only a cream
- People who already do sheet masks for the face and would like the equivalent for hands
- As a course before an event where hands will be photographed
- Not for you if you are allergic to bee products, or if you avoid animal-derived ingredients — this contains royal jelly and placenta extract
How to Use
- Wash and dry your hands.
- Take one pair of serum gloves from the sachet and put them on.
- Pull the supplied plastic gloves on over the top and secure them at the wrists with the tape so the serum stays in contact.
- Leave on for five minutes. Sit still — this is not a step you can do while working.
- Remove both layers, then massage the remaining serum into the hands and cuticles instead of rinsing.
- Follow with a hand cream to seal the water in.
Frequency: One to two pairs a week. Eighteen pairs is roughly a three-month course at that rate.
Full Ingredients
Disclosed serum components: three types of collagen, three molecular weights of hyaluronic acid, placenta extract (animal-derived), arbutin, ceramides, proteoglycan, elastin, silk extract, royal jelly (bee product), plant extracts.
The manufacturer states the serum contains 112 moisturising and conditioning components in total but does not publish the complete INCI list. That figure is the maker's claim, not a measure of how well the product performs — a long list is not the same as a good one. What matters here is what is in it: two animal-derived ingredients, one of which is a bee product.

FAQ
Do hand masks do anything a good hand cream does not?
The difference is occlusion and dose, not magic. Sealing a saturated glove against the skin for five minutes puts far more water and far more of the serum against the surface than a cream you rub in and then wash off two hours later, so hands feel plumper and look smoother for a day or two afterwards. That is a real effect and a temporary one. It does not replace the cream — it works because you follow it with one.
Is this product halal or suitable for vegans?
The serum contains placenta extract and royal jelly. The placenta extract is animal-derived, the manufacturer does not state which species, and royal jelly is a bee product — so the mask is neither vegan nor suitable if you avoid animal ingredients on religious grounds. The product carries no halal certification — Japanese domestic cosmetics are rarely certified — so if certification itself matters to you, this product does not have it.
Will this lighten the dark spots already on my hands?
Arbutin is in the formula and it is a recognised brightening ingredient, but it is present here as an ordinary cosmetic component, not as an approved active at a reviewed concentration — and a five-minute mask used once or twice a week is not how brightening ingredients are usually delivered. Expect better hydration and a smoother look, not the removal of established sun marks. For those, daily sunscreen on the hands does more than any mask, and a dermatologist does more than either.
The packaging is in Japanese — how do I know what I am using?
The carton and bottle carry Japanese-language labelling, because this is stock made for the Japanese domestic market. Where an ingredient list appears on this page, it is translated from that labelling or from the manufacturer's own published data; where the manufacturer does not publish one, the ingredients section says so rather than filling the gap. Either way, send us a photo of anything unclear on the box after delivery and we will translate it, and ask us before ordering if you need the full label list first.
Will I pay customs duty or import VAT?
That depends on your country and on the declared value of the parcel, not on us. We ship from Japan with a correct customs declaration and full tracking; any duty or import VAT your country charges is collected by your local carrier or customs office on delivery. Check your national de-minimis threshold before ordering if you want to avoid a surprise.
