How to Use
- Twist the base to extend about 1 cm of the stick.
- Glide it directly onto the skin in a zigzag, overlapping each pass so there are no gaps — patchy coverage is the main failure mode of a stick.
- For the areas the stick cannot reach cleanly — around the eyes, the sides of the nose, the hairline — dab a little onto a fingertip and blend it in.
- Reapply during the day as needed, including over a fresh shave once any redness has settled.
- Reapply after swimming, heavy sweating or towel-drying.
Frequency: Daily. Reapply every 2–3 hours during sun exposure and after water contact. Removes with your regular face or body wash.

What does SynchroShield actually do?
It is Shiseido's name for a UV film that reinforces itself on contact with heat, sweat and water rather than degrading. Ordinary sunscreen films are weakened by exactly those three things, which is why coverage falls away over an afternoon outdoors.
Can I use it over a fresh shave?
Many customers do, but if your skin is still red from the razor, wait until it settles or patch-test on a small area first.
Is a stick as effective as a lotion?
Only if you apply it properly. The rating is the same, but a stick is far easier to apply patchily than a lotion. Overlap each pass and use a fingertip around the eyes and nose, and it performs as rated.
How is it different from the Perfect Sun Protector Stick?
Both are transparent SynchroShield sticks at SPF50+ PA++++. The MEN version is fragranced and positioned for men's skin; the Perfect Sun Protector Stick has a citrus-floral scent, contains argan oil, and is designed to be worn over makeup. If you do not wear makeup, either works.
