How to Use

1. Wet your face and hands with lukewarm water
2. Squeeze a small amount into damp palms and work it into a thick lather
3. Massage the foam over the face — let the lather do the work, do not scrub
4. Rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water, paying attention to the hairline and jaw
5. Pat dry and go straight on to your essence or lotion while skin is still damp

What exactly is the "human stem cell" ingredient?

It is an extract of conditioned medium: human fat-derived cells are grown in a nutrient fluid, the cells are then removed, and what remains — the fluid, containing the proteins and sugars the cells released — is what goes into the product. There are no cells in the bottle. It is used as a cosmetic conditioning ingredient. It is not a medical or regenerative therapy, and no cosmetic in Japan or the EU may be sold as one.

It says fragrance-free but I can smell it — which is it?

Both statements are true and the distinction matters. There is no added synthetic fragrance compound; the scent you notice comes from three essential oils in the formula. Essential oils are natural, but they are also among the more common causes of contact allergy in skincare, so treat this as a scented product if your skin reacts to scent.

In what order do I use the SC Beaute Premium products?

Cleansing foam first, then the essence on clean damp skin, then the lotion, then the cream last to seal everything in. You do not need all four to use one — each works on its own — but if you own several, that is the order the line is designed around.

Will it remove makeup?

It removes light makeup, sunscreen and the day's sebum. For long-wear foundation or waterproof mascara, use an oil or balm cleanser first and then this foam as the second step — that is the standard Japanese double cleanse, and it is gentler than trying to force one product to do both jobs.
