Description
&honey Melty Moist Repair Hair Oil 3.0, 100 ml — Japanese Humidity-Proof Hair Oil
Overview
The &honey variant aimed at the specific problem of Japanese summer: hair that behaves until the humidity arrives and then does not. The oil is built to seal moisture into the shaft and keep ambient moisture out, which is the mechanism behind frizz — a dry, porous cuticle drinks in water from the air and swells unevenly.
The honey blend is the brand's signature: Manuka honey from New Zealand, rose honey from Bulgaria and raw Japanese honey, in a 60/20/20 ratio within the blend — a detail the previous version of this page ran together with a claim about the whole formula. Around it sit organic argan oil, ceramide NG, hydrolysed keratin and rice bran oil. See also our Japanese haircare range.
Key Benefits
- ✓ Built for humidity: a cuticle-sealing film rather than a shine oil that sits on the surface
- ✓ Three-honey blend — Manuka, Bulgarian rose and raw Japanese honey — plus royal jelly and propolis
- ✓ Organic argan oil, ceramide NG and hydrolysed keratin for the repair side
- ✓ Light enough for fine to medium hair used daily, which is unusual in a repair oil
- ✓ Works as a heat buffer before blow-drying and as a finishing drop on dry ends
- ✓ Full INCI and every bee- and wool-derived ingredient published on this page

Who Is This For?
- Wavy or fine-to-medium hair that turns frizzy the moment the weather turns humid
- Anyone living through a rainy season or a humid summer with hair that will not hold a shape
- People who want a light heat buffer before a dryer rather than a heavy protectant
- Not suitable if: you are allergic to honey, royal jelly, propolis or wool
- Not vegan: the formula is built on bee products and contains wool-derived keratin
How to Use
- Wash and towel-dry the hair.
- Dispense two or three drops into the palms — four or five for thick or long hair.
- Rub the palms together to warm the oil before it touches the hair.
- Work through the mid-lengths and ends. Avoid the scalp.
- Blow-dry or air-dry as usual. A single drop on dry ends refreshes shine on a non-wash day.
Frequency: Daily, on damp hair after washing

The brand states that over 90 per cent of the formula is moisturising and protective ingredients. That is Vicrea's own figure and its own definition of which ingredients count; we repeat it as a brand claim, not as a measurement.
Cautions
- Contains a bee-derived ingredient (royal jelly) — avoid if you are allergic to bee products.
- Contains hydrolysed keratin derived from wool — relevant if you react to lanolin or wool, and it means the product is not vegan.
- Contains honey, honey extract, propolis and a honey ferment as well — do not use with any bee-product allergy.
- Honey and royal jelly are animal-derived. The product carries no halal certification, though it contains no alcohol or pork-derived ingredients.
- For hair only. Avoid the eyes; rinse with plenty of water on contact.

FAQ
How much oil is too much?
Two or three drops for hair to the shoulders, four or five if it is thick or long — and always into warm palms first, because oil applied straight from the dropper lands in one place and stays there. The classic mistake is not the amount but the placement: oil belongs on the mid-lengths and ends, which are the oldest and most porous part of the hair. On the roots it does what sebum already does, only more visibly. If the hair looks greasy an hour later, halve the dose before you give up on the product.
Is this product halal or suitable for vegans?
This oil is built on bee products — honey, royal jelly and propolis — and also contains keratin derived from wool. The product carries no halal certification — Japanese domestic cosmetics are rarely certified — so if certification itself matters to you, this product does not have it.
The packaging is in Japanese — how do I know what I am using?
The carton and bottle carry Japanese-language labelling, because this is stock made for the Japanese domestic market. Where an ingredient list appears on this page, it is translated from that labelling or from the manufacturer's own published data; where the manufacturer does not publish one, the ingredients section says so rather than filling the gap. Either way, send us a photo of anything unclear on the box after delivery and we will translate it, and ask us before ordering if you need the full label list first.
Is this an authentic Japanese product?
Yes. We buy through Japanese distribution channels and ship from our base in Kobe, Japan. We do not sell grey-market or parallel-import stock, and the packaging you receive is the Japanese domestic packaging, with Japanese-language labelling.
Will I pay customs duty or import VAT?
That depends on your country and on the declared value of the parcel, not on us. We ship from Japan with a correct customs declaration and full tracking; any duty or import VAT your country charges is collected by your local carrier or customs office on delivery. Check your national de-minimis threshold before ordering if you want to avoid a surprise.
