Description
Asahi Perfect Asta Collagen Powder Premier Rich, 378 g
Overview
This is the top of Asahi Group Foods' Perfect Asta Collagen line: a 378 g tub, 7.5 g a day, about fifty days. Each serving declares 5,500 mg of collagen — low-molecular peptides plus what Asahi calls nano collagen — alongside 1,500 mg of placenta extract, 1,000 mg of dietary fibre, 100 mg of vitamin C, 30 mg of hyaluronic acid, 600 µg of ceramide and 3 mg of alpinia leaf extract, with royal jelly, bird's nest, coenzyme Q10, glucosamine, elastin and a four-herb mix making up the sixteen declared components.
Read the Cautions before you order. The collagen and the placenta are porcine, and the formula also contains royal jelly and bird's nest. It is not vegetarian and not halal, and the previous version of this page said none of that.

Who Is This For?
- People already taking a collagen powder who want a higher declared daily amount
- Anyone who would rather buy one fifty-day tub than three small ones
- People who eat pork and bee products — see the diet row above before ordering
- Those who prefer an unflavoured powder they can add to their own drink
- Not for vegetarians, not for anyone avoiding porcine ingredients, and not for people with a bee-product allergy
How to Use
- Measure 7.5 g — the spoon supplied in the tub is the measure.
- Stir it into a small amount of a drink you actually like: coffee, tea, juice, milk, a smoothie.
- Stir until fully dissolved; the powder is fine and takes a moment.
- Take it once a day, at whatever time you will keep to.
- Close the tub firmly and keep the spoon dry — collagen powder clumps in a humid kitchen.
Frequency: Once a day, 7.5 g. The 378 g tub is about fifty days.

Also declared, without individual amounts: royal jelly, bird's nest, coenzyme Q10, glucosamine, elastin, a four-herb mix, lactic acid bacteria. Sixteen components in total, as stated by Asahi.
Sources of the animal ingredients: the collagen and the placenta extract are porcine. Royal jelly and bird's nest are the bee- and bird-derived components. Glucosamine in Japanese formulations of this kind is usually shellfish-derived; Asahi does not specify, so anyone with a crustacean allergy should treat it as such.
Composition and specification as declared by Asahi Group Foods on the Japanese-market pack and the manufacturer's official product page.
Cautions
- This is a food, not a medicine. It is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease, and it does not replace a varied diet or advice from your doctor.
- This formula contains porcine-derived collagen and placenta extract, plus royal jelly and bird's nest. It is neither vegetarian nor halal.
- Check the declaration below against your own allergies before you order, not after.
- Contains royal jelly. People with a bee-product allergy, and especially anyone with asthma or a history of anaphylaxis, should not take this.
- Glucosamine is very likely shellfish-derived; treat it as a crustacean allergen unless Asahi states otherwise.
- If you are pregnant, breastfeeding, under medical care or taking prescribed medication, speak to your doctor before use.
- Do not exceed the stated daily amount. More is not better here.
- Stop taking it and consult a doctor if you notice any change that does not suit you.
- Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, and keep out of reach of children.
- Once opened, keep the tub sealed and the scoop dry, and finish it within a reasonable time.

FAQ
Is it halal or vegetarian?
Neither. The collagen and the placenta extract are porcine, and the formula also contains royal jelly and bird's nest. The previous version of this page discussed placenta and royal jelly at length without once saying where they come from, which for a shop selling into the Gulf and to vegetarian customers is not an omission we can leave standing.
Is 378 g or 375 g right?
Asahi states 378 g. Our own listing said 375 g. Where the two disagree, the maker's figure is the one printed here.
What makes Premier Rich different from the standard powder?
Placenta extract, ceramide, royal jelly, bird's nest and alpinia leaf extract are the additions, and the collagen figure is higher. If you are choosing between them, that is the list to compare.
Will it do what the old page said?
The old page said the complex "surpasses most premium collagens on the Japanese and global market", that nano collagen penetrates "the deepest layers of tissue", that ceramides "eliminate wrinkles" and that bird's nest gives "a lifting effect". None of that is something a food may claim or that we can support, and all of it is gone. What is left is the declaration, which is genuinely a high one.
Does the vitamin C matter?
It is the one mechanistic thing on this label worth pointing at: vitamin C is a required cofactor for collagen synthesis in the body. 100 mg in the same serving is a sensible piece of formulation. It is not a promise about your skin.
