How to Use
- Warm a generous amount between your palms.
- Start at the belly, working outward from the centre in slow circles.
- Continue over the hips, thighs and chest — wherever the skin feels tight.
- Take a couple of minutes rather than seconds; the massage is as much of the point as the cream.
- Use daily, ideally after a bath or shower while the skin is still slightly damp.
Frequency: Once or twice daily, from early pregnancy onward, for as long as it feels useful.

Will it prevent stretch marks?
No, and we would rather be straight about it. No topical cream has been shown to prevent striae gravidarum; whether they appear is largely down to genetics, how fast the skin stretches and how much. What a rich cream and a daily massage do is keep stretching skin comfortable and much less itchy, and that is a good enough reason on its own.
Is it safe for sensitive skin?
Pigeon states that a skin-irritation test has been carried out, which is worth knowing — but a panel test is not a promise about your skin, and English listings that turn it into "safe for sensitive pregnancy skin" are saying more than the maker does. Pregnancy makes many people's skin more reactive than it used to be, so patch test on a small area first even if you have used similar creams before.
How long does a 250 g jar last?
Used once daily over the belly, hips and thighs, roughly six to ten weeks depending on how generous you are. That is the reason for the jar rather than a tube: a body cream applied over that area every day goes faster than people expect, and running out in the third trimester is the usual complaint about smaller sizes.
Can I use it while breastfeeding?
On the body, yes. Avoid the nipple and areola unless your midwife has said otherwise — that is a general precaution about anything a baby might ingest, not a statement about this particular cream.
Is it fragranced?
Lightly. Pigeon builds its maternity range around low fragrance levels, which matters in a trimester when smells that were fine last month are suddenly not. If you are in the stage where almost everything is too much, patch test the scent on your wrist before putting it on your belly.
