BOTANIST built its whole identity on plant-derived ingredients presented plainly, and this is the body wash from that range: 490 ml, rose and white peach, with a list of botanical extracts and butters long enough that it is worth reading rather than skimming — white peach, rose, apricot, apple, cherry-blossom petal and carrot among the extracts; shea, cocoa and murumuru butters, coconut milk and almond milk among the emollients.

How to Use

1. Wet the skin. Take two or three pumps onto a puff, a cloth or straight into wet hands.
2. Work up a lather and wash. Botanical washes lather more slowly than a detergent-led gel — give it a moment rather than adding more product.
3. Rinse thoroughly, particularly the back and the backs of the knees.
4. Pat dry rather than rubbing, and moisturise while the skin is still slightly damp if you use a body lotion.

Frequency: Daily; on very dry skin, using it only where it is needed rather than head to toe is worth trying

Your old page said it suits sensitive skin. Why does this one not?

Because we cannot stand behind it. This is a fragranced wash carrying rose, peach, apricot, apple, cherry blossom and carrot extracts, and fragrance and botanical extracts are two of the most common causes of contact reactions. That does not make it a harsh product — many people with reactive skin use it happily — but "suitable for sensitive skin" is a claim about a category of person, and a patch test tells you more about your own skin than our sentence ever could.
