Description
Dear-Natura Amino Multivitamin & Mineral — Four Tablets, Forty-Nine Components
Overview
Dear-Natura is Asahi's supplement line, and this is its broadest single product: four small tablets a day carrying 12 vitamins, 9 minerals, 18 amino acids and ten strains of lactic acid bacteria, 1,548 mg of tablet in total. Asahi publishes the whole panel down to the milligram, which is unusual enough to be the main reason to choose it over a vaguer multivitamin.
The amino acid list is what separates this from an ordinary multivitamin. It is not a protein supplement — 0.53 g of protein per day is a rounding error next to a meal — but the nine essential amino acids are all present in declared amounts, which some people want alongside a restricted or an elderly diet.
Three things the old listing had but did not make visible, and one it got wrong. It contains milk. It contains shellac, a resin secreted by the lac insect, so it is not vegan. Its vitamin B6 is 13 mg a day, which is above the level European authorities set as the long-term upper limit. And its contraindication line called the product a drug, which it is not.

Who Is This For?
- Adults who want one broad daily tablet rather than four separate bottles
- People on a restricted or repetitive diet who want the amino acid column filled in as well as the vitamin one
- Anyone who prefers a manufacturer that publishes every figure to a label that says 'proprietary complex'
- NOT for you if you have a milk allergy — milk is a declared ingredient
- NOT for you if you are vegan (shellac and milk), and think twice if you already take a separate B6 or vitamin A supplement
How to Use
- Take four tablets a day, which is Asahi's stated serving.
- Split them across the day if four at once is uncomfortable — two with breakfast, two with dinner works.
- Take them with water, with or just after food.
- Do not stack this with a separate B-complex or a separate vitamin A supplement without checking the totals.
- If you take a prescribed medicine, leave two hours between it and these tablets — the calcium, magnesium, iron and zinc here all interfere with the absorption of some drugs.
Frequency: Daily, 4 tablets. 200 tablets is 50 days.

Cautions
- Contains milk. Asahi declares it. Do not take this if you have a milk allergy, and read the label yourself if you are managing an allergy for someone else.
- Contains shellac, a resin secreted by the lac insect. The product is therefore not vegan, and we cannot describe it as vegetarian without qualification either.
- Vitamin B6 is 13 mg per day. The European Food Safety Authority sets the tolerable upper intake level for adults at 12 mg per day, because prolonged high-dose B6 is associated with peripheral sensory nerve symptoms. This product alone exceeds that figure slightly; taken alongside another B-complex it exceeds it substantially. If you plan to take it for months rather than weeks, raise it with your doctor.
- Vitamin A is 700 µg per day and Asahi does not publish the form. If you are pregnant, planning a pregnancy, or already taking vitamin A or fish liver oil, add up your total before starting.
- The tablets supply calcium, magnesium, iron and zinc, all of which can reduce the absorption of some prescription medicines. Leave two hours either side.
- Not intended for children. Asahi's serving is set for adults.
- Stop taking it and consult a doctor if you develop stomach upset, rash, unusual tiredness, muscle pain or dark urine.
- If you are pregnant, breastfeeding, taking any prescribed medication or under medical care, ask your doctor before starting this supplement.
- Do not exceed the stated daily amount. More is not better with any of these ingredients.
- Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Keep out of reach of children.
- This is a food supplement, not a medicine. It is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease, and it is not a substitute for prescribed treatment.

FAQ
Is it vegetarian or vegan, and is it halal?
Not vegan: the tablets contain shellac, a resin secreted by the lac insect, and a milk-derived component. Not straightforwardly vegetarian either, for the same shellac reason — some vegetarians accept shellac and some do not. On halal, the product carries no certification and Asahi does not publish enough about the shellac and the yeast carriers for us to make a statement. What we can do is give you the complete ingredient list, which is above.
Why do you flag the vitamin B6 when the label treats it as a selling point?
Because 13 mg a day is above the 12 mg tolerable upper intake level EFSA sets for adults, and the reason that level exists is that prolonged high-dose B6 has been linked to peripheral sensory nerve symptoms. On its own the excess is small. The problem is stacking: people who buy a broad multivitamin often also take a B-complex, an energy drink and a fortified cereal, and nobody adds them up. We would rather you knew the figure.
Is this a protein supplement because of the amino acids?
No. The whole daily serving contains 0.53 g of protein — roughly what you get from two grams of chicken. The amino acids are here as declared micronutrients, useful if your diet is narrow or repetitive, not as a source of dietary protein. If you want protein, buy protein; the shelf for that is our diet and sports range.
Can I take it with my other supplements?
Add the totals up first, particularly for B6, vitamin A, zinc and iron — those are the four in this tablet where doubling matters. Water-soluble vitamins are generally forgiving, fat-soluble ones and minerals are not. If you take prescription medicine as well, leave two hours between it and these tablets, because calcium, magnesium, iron and zinc all interfere with the absorption of certain drugs.
The packaging is in Japanese — how do I know what I am taking?
The bottle carries Japanese-language labelling because this is stock for the Japanese domestic market. The full panel and ingredient list on this page are translated from Asahi's published data, and the milk declaration and the shellac are both in it. Send us a photo of anything unclear on the label after delivery and we will translate it, or ask before ordering if you need something checked first.
