Description
Dear-Natura Coenzyme Q10 with 11 Vitamins, 30-Day Supply — 60 Capsules, CoQ10 90 mg
Overview
Asahi's Dear-Natura coenzyme Q10, in the plain form: two capsules a day supply 90 mg of coenzyme Q10, together with eleven vitamins and 450 µg of beta-carotene as vitamin A activity. 60 capsules, two a day, 30 days.
The number that matters is the coenzyme figure, and most listings of CoQ10 do not print it. 90 mg is the coenzyme itself, not an inclusion complex containing it — which matters if you are comparing this against the DHC product we also sell, where 75 mg of cyclodextrin complex contains 15 mg of coenzyme Q10. Six times the coenzyme, in a capsule that also carries a vitamin panel.
In Japan this is a nutrient function claim food for biotin only. Nothing is claimed for the coenzyme Q10 itself, here or on the Japanese pack, and we do not claim anything for it either.

Who Is This For?
- Anyone comparing coenzyme Q10 products who wants the coenzyme figure rather than a complex figure
- People over about 40, the age at which the body's own coenzyme Q10 production begins to fall
- Anyone on a statin who has read that statins lower coenzyme Q10 — with the caveat below, which matters more than the product does
- People who would rather take one capsule that carries both a CoQ10 dose and a vitamin panel than two separate products
- Not for: anyone under 18, anyone pregnant, planning a pregnancy or breastfeeding, anyone under medical treatment or on prescribed medicine without asking a doctor first, anyone taking warfarin, and anyone avoiding gelatin.
How to Use
- Take two capsules a day.
- Swallow them with water or lukewarm water.
- Take them with or just after a meal — coenzyme Q10 and beta-carotene are fat-soluble and are absorbed better alongside food containing some fat.
- Do not exceed two capsules. There is no benefit in the third and the vitamin panel is already at or above the Japanese reference for several nutrients.
- Store away from direct sunlight, heat and damp, and out of reach of children.
Frequency: Daily, at the same meal

The capsule shell is gelatin, so this is not a vegetarian or vegan product. Asahi declares gelatin as an allergen but does not name the source animal, so we cannot confirm halal status either way and do not claim it.
The vitamin A activity here is beta-carotene, not retinol. Beta-carotene is converted to vitamin A only as the body needs it, so it does not carry the pregnancy intake ceiling that preformed vitamin A does — although the maker excludes pregnancy for this product on other grounds.
Composition and specification as declared by Asahi Group Foods on its official product page.
Cautions
- Asahi prints three exclusions on the pack itself: do not take this if you are under medical treatment or taking prescribed medicine without asking your doctor first; not for children or anyone under 18; and not while pregnant, planning a pregnancy or breastfeeding.
- Warfarin. Coenzyme Q10 is structurally similar to vitamin K and can reduce the effect of warfarin. If you take warfarin or any other anticoagulant, do not start this without your prescriber.
- Blood-pressure medication. Coenzyme Q10 may lower blood pressure modestly, which can add to the effect of antihypertensives.
- If you take a statin: statins do lower circulating coenzyme Q10, and that is why many people look for this product. It is not a reason to change or stop a statin, and taking this instead of the statin would be dangerous. Discuss it with the doctor who prescribed it.
- Declared allergen: gelatin. Check the declaration above if you have any food allergy.
- Insulin and diabetes medication: coenzyme Q10 can affect blood glucose in some people, so monitor if you are treated for diabetes.
- Do not exceed the stated daily serving. More is not better with this formula.
- Stop taking it and speak to a doctor if you feel unwell after use.
- Store away from direct sunlight, high temperature and humidity, and out of the reach of children.
- This is a food, not a medicine. It does not diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease, and it is not a substitute for a varied diet or for medical advice.
Package Contents
One bottle of 60 soft capsules, in the Japanese-market pack with Japanese labelling. At two capsules a day that is 30 days. No English-language leaflet is enclosed by the maker — the full declaration and nutrition panel are reproduced on this page instead.

FAQ
How much coenzyme Q10 is actually in it?
90 mg per daily serving of two capsules, and that is the coenzyme itself. It matters to say so, because some CoQ10 products state the weight of an inclusion complex rather than of the coenzyme inside it — the DHC product we also stock declares 75 mg of cyclodextrin complex containing 15 mg of coenzyme Q10. Compare like with like: 90 against 15.
Can I take it with a statin?
Ask the doctor who prescribed the statin. Statins do reduce circulating coenzyme Q10 and that is a common reason to look at a product like this, but it is not a reason to alter or stop a statin, and this is a food that makes no medical claim. Bring the pack to the appointment; the panel is on this page.
Is it suitable during pregnancy?
No. Asahi prints an exclusion for pregnant and breastfeeding women, and for women planning a pregnancy, directly on the pack. That is the maker's own instruction and we repeat it rather than soften it.
Does it contain gelatin?
Yes. Gelatin is the capsule shell and it is the one declared allergen. The product is therefore not vegetarian or vegan. Asahi does not state which animal the gelatin comes from, so we cannot tell you whether it is halal and we do not claim that it is.
Is the vitamin A in it a problem?
The vitamin A activity comes from beta-carotene, 450 µg, not from retinol. Beta-carotene is converted only as needed and does not carry the pregnancy ceiling that preformed vitamin A does. The pack is still excluded in pregnancy, for the maker's own separate reasons.
