Allergen: DHC states the formula may contain soy-derived components. Soy is a declarable allergen in Japan, the EU and the UK.
There is no gymnema in this product. DHC sells gymnema and mulberry leaf as separate single-ingredient items; this is the eight-botanical blend.
Titanium dioxide (E171) is used here as a colourant. It is permitted in food in Japan. It is not permitted as a food additive in the European Union under Regulation (EU) 2022/63, which has applied since 7 August 2022. Buyers in the EU should read that line before ordering.

We are not going to tell you that it does. Ama-balance is an ordinary Japanese health food with no notified function claim, which means even in Japan it is not permitted to make that statement. The botanicals in it are traditionally associated with meals; what they do in your body is between you, your diet and your doctor.
Is the capsule suitable for vegetarians or for a halal diet?
No. The shell is gelatin, and DHC does not publish the animal it comes from. If you need a plant capsule, this is not the product.
Why do you mention titanium dioxide so prominently?
Because it decides whether the product is one you want. It is a permitted food colourant in Japan and it is not a permitted food additive in the EU, where Regulation (EU) 2022/63 has applied since August 2022. We would rather you read that here than find it on the bottle.
