Two things decide what happens on the day the parcel arrives, and both are easy to miss.
The battery is not in the box, and we are not going to guess its size. It matters twice over: you cannot use the trimmer on the day it arrives unless you already have the right cell, and if you are packing it for a flight, a loose alkaline cell in hand luggage is fine while a lithium one has its own rules. Who Is This For?

- Right for you if you have been using scissors or tweezers on nose hair and would like to stop. Plucking is the single most reliable way to give yourself an infected nostril.

How to Use
- Fit a fresh battery. Check the size printed on the Japanese packaging, or ask us and we will read it off the box.
- Work dry and in good light, over a basin. Damp hair drags and clogs the head.
- For the nose: switch on first, then insert the tip a short way into the nostril and turn it in small circles. Do not push it further in because it feels like it is not reaching anything — it is.
- For the ear: outer rim and the entrance only. Never advance the head into the ear canal.
- For brows and moustache: use the side blade along the line rather than the tip, and take less than you think.
- Switch off before you take the head away from the face.
- Detach the cutting head and rinse it under the tap with a little soap, then let it dry fully before refitting.
- Wipe the body with a dry cloth only. Never rinse or submerge it — there is a battery and a motor inside.
Frequency: As needed. For most people that is every one to two weeks for nose and ear, and whenever the brow line needs it.

Stainless steel contains nickel. In normal use the blades are guarded and do not touch skin, so a nickel-sensitive user is unlikely to have a problem, but if you react to steel jewellery it is worth knowing that is what the head is made of.
The manufacturer does not publish a motor rating, a battery size or a full parts list, and we have not filled those gaps with plausible-sounding numbers.
Cautions
- Never insert the head into the ear canal. Use it on the outer ear and the entrance only. The canal is short, the eardrum is at the end of it, and no trimmer is worth that.
- Do not over-trim nose hair. Nasal hair filters what you breathe and protects the lining; trimming the visible ends is grooming, clearing the nostril out is asking for an infection.
- Do not use inside a nostril that is broken, sore, crusted or inflamed, or if you have a boil or an active infection there.
- Never pluck nose hair with tweezers as an alternative — it is the classic route to nasal vestibulitis.
- Switch the trimmer on before it goes near the face and off before it comes away, so it is never dragged across skin while stationary.
- Keep away from eyes and eyelashes. The head is guarded but it is still a cutter.
- The body must not be washed, rinsed or submerged. Only the detachable cutting head is washable, and it must be fully dry before it is refitted.
- Remove the battery if the trimmer will be stored unused for a long period, so a leaking cell cannot damage the contacts.
- Not intended for children. Keep out of reach of children.
- Manual and all safety labelling are in Japanese only; no other language is supplied.

FAQ
Which battery does it take, and is one included?
No battery is included, and the size is not printed anywhere on the listing we inherited. It is on the Japanese packaging, and rather than tell you AA when the box says AAA, we would rather you asked us before ordering and we read it off a unit for you. Plan on buying the cell locally either way — batteries and international parcels are a bad combination, and shipping rules on loose cells vary by carrier.
Can I use it inside my ears?
On the outer ear and the entrance, yes — that is what the side blade is for. Inside the ear canal, no. The canal is only a couple of centimetres long and the eardrum is at the end of it, and a rotating cutter is not something to advance into a space you cannot see. If hair deep in the canal genuinely bothers you, that is a conversation for a doctor or a nurse, not for a trimmer.
Is it safe on nose hair, or should I leave it alone?
Trimming the ends that show is fine and is what this is for. Clearing the nostril out is not: nasal hair filters dust and pathogens on the way in, and the skin just inside the nostril is thin and easy to break. The one thing to avoid entirely is plucking with tweezers — pulling a hair out of that particular patch of skin is the standard cause of nasal vestibulitis, which is as unpleasant as it sounds. A guarded trimmer exists precisely so you stop doing that.
Can I wash it?
The cutting head only. It detaches and rinses under the tap with a little soap, and it must be completely dry before you refit it. The body must never be washed, rinsed or held under running water — there is a motor and a battery compartment inside it, and water in either ends the trimmer. Wipe the body with a dry cloth.
Will I pay customs duty or import VAT?
That depends on your country and on the declared value of the parcel, not on us. We ship from Japan with a correct customs declaration and full tracking; any duty or import VAT your country charges is collected by your local carrier or customs office on delivery. Check your national de-minimis threshold before ordering if you want to avoid a surprise.
