How to Use
- After cleansing, pour a suitable amount into your palm.
- Press it over the whole face with your palms.

Yes. This listing is Shirojun Premium, the version with two actives (tranexamic acid and dipotassium glycyrrhizate). The standard Shirojun lotion has tranexamic acid with a different second active and is listed separately on our site.
Does tranexamic acid block tyrosinase?
No. Tyrosinase inhibitors such as arbutin or kojic acid interrupt the enzyme that builds melanin. Tranexamic acid works one step earlier, on the inflammatory signalling that tells pigment cells to switch on after UV exposure. That is why it is associated with diffuse, blotchy discolouration rather than a single sharp-edged sun spot.
How long before I see anything, and will dark spots disappear?
Give it eight to twelve weeks of twice-daily use before you judge it. Products in this category make marks look lighter and stop new ones from darkening — they do not erase established pigmentation. If nothing has shifted after three months, a dermatologist has options a toner does not.
