How to Use
- Start at the onset of menstruation, or at the point the bleeding becomes heavy.
- Take 5 tablets per dose with water or warm water.
- Take three doses a day, before meals or between meals.
- Continue for the heavy days — 45 tablets covers three at the standard dose.
- Do not exceed 15 tablets in a day, and do not take it continuously through the cycle.
Frequency: Three times a day, 5 tablets each time, during the heavy days only.
Full Ingredients
Active per daily dose of 15 tablets: Kyuki Kyogaito extract 3.8 g. The formula is built from Japanese angelica root, cnidium rhizome, rehmannia root, peony root, ass-hide gelatin (ekyo), mugwort leaf and licorice, in the proportions of the classical prescription.
Note on ekyo: Kyuki Kyogaito traditionally contains gelatin of animal origin. If that matters to you, read the Cautions before ordering.

Cautions
- This is a Japanese over-the-counter medicine, not a cosmetic or a supplement. The box and the package insert are in Japanese only. It has not been assessed by the FDA, EMA, MHRA or any regulator outside Japan, and many countries restrict or prohibit the personal import of medicines. FAQ
Three days seems short. Is that right?
It is. Chirac is written for the heavy stretch of a period, not for the whole cycle and not as a daily supplement — 15 tablets a day, 45 in the box. If your heavy days regularly run longer than three, that is worth raising with a doctor as well as buying a second box.
Is this hormonal?
No. Kyuki Kyogaito is a herbal Kampo prescription. It contains no hormone and it is not a contraceptive.
Is it halal or vegetarian?
We cannot say it is either. The classical formula includes ekyo — gelatin of animal origin — and Kobayashi does not declare the animal. Rather than guess, we state the position and leave the decision with you.
How does it differ from the other Inochi no Haha products?
The White Series is aimed at younger women and at cycle-related complaints; the original Inochi no Haha A is the menopause product. Chirac within White is specifically the bleeding one.
Can I take it every month?
The insert governs, and the licorice content is the reason to respect it. Repeated long courses of licorice-containing Kampo carry a documented risk. Use it for the heavy days, not as a standing habit, and talk to a pharmacist if you find yourself needing it every cycle.
