How to Use

1. Make sure the skin is clean, dry and unbroken.
2. Tip the bottle and press the sponge head against the area — the long neck is designed to reach the back of the neck and the shoulder blades.
3. Apply the amount you need 2 to 3 times a day. Do not exceed 50 ml in a week.
4. Wash your hands afterwards, and keep the liquid away from the eyes; if it gets in, rinse with water at once.
5. Do not cover the treated area with anything airtight — film, tape or a heat pad — as this can cause burning.

Frequency: 2–3 times daily; no more than 50 ml per week. Children aged 11 and over under adult supervision.

Other ingredients: propylene glycol, ethanol, sucrose octaacetate (a bittering agent, present to discourage accidental swallowing).

A note on chlorpheniramine maleate. It is an H1 antihistamine, and in a topical rub its job is the itch, not the inflammation — English listings often describe it the other way round. The anti-inflammatory here is glycol salicylate.

Is it 6% menthol or 3%?

3%. Kobayashi declares 3000 mg of l-menthol per 100 ml, and 3000 mg in 100 ml is 3 per cent. A figure of 6% circulates in retail copy for this range; it does not match the maker's own quantitative declaration, so we print the declared amount in milligrams rather than any percentage.

Does it treat osteochondrosis?

"Osteochondrosis" and "cervicobrachial chondroarthrosis" circulate in retail copy for this product. They are diagnostic labels used in Russian and post-Soviet clinical practice; they are not in Kobayashi's indication list and do not correspond to diagnoses an English, German or Arabic-speaking doctor would give. Kobayashi's list covers stiff shoulders, muscle pain and fatigue, joint pain, low-back pain, bruises and sprains.

What is the difference between the Long and the standard bottle?

Size and neck. The standard NEW Ammeltz Yoko-Yoko A is 80 ml; the Long is 90 ml with an extended neck, which is what lets you reach your own shoulder blades and the back of your neck. The formula is the same.

Why does it feel cool and then warm?

Two different groups of ingredients acting on different timescales. l-Menthol produces the immediate cooling. Benzyl nicotinate and nonivamide — a capsaicin analogue — increase local blood flow, and that warmth arrives more slowly. If you reapply during the cool phase because you think it has not worked, you will get more warmth than you wanted.

Can I use it while pregnant?

Ask a doctor or pharmacist first. Some retail listings state a flat prohibition; Kobayashi's own insert places pregnancy under "consult" rather than under a contraindication, and that is the wording we follow. Over-warning is still misinformation, and it sends people to worse alternatives.
