How to Use
- Cleanse and apply your lotion; let the skin settle
- Open one pair and unfold each patch without tugging the saturated cotton
- Place one under each eye, or at the corners of the mouth, pressing gently so it conforms
- Leave for fifteen to twenty minutes — do not exceed it and do not let them dry out
- Remove, pat the remaining essence in, and follow with eye cream

Cautions
- Patch test on the inner forearm before first use, especially if your skin is reactive.
- Discontinue use and consult a doctor if redness, itching, swelling or persistent stinging occurs.
- Avoid contact with the eyes. If the product enters the eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of water.
- Do not apply to broken, sunburned or actively inflamed skin.
- Keep out of reach of children. Store away from direct sunlight and high temperatures.
- PEANUT ALLERGY WARNING. This product contains Arachis hypogaea (peanut) seed oil. Do not use it if you are allergic to peanuts or tree nuts. This is an eye patch worn for fifteen to twenty minutes against thin skin close to the eye, and for someone with a peanut allergy that is not a small exposure.
- Contains a retinol-type ingredient: use sunscreen during the day and avoid it if you are pregnant or breastfeeding unless your doctor agrees.
- The formula includes a paraben preservative — worth knowing if you prefer paraben-free skincare.
- Contains animal-derived ingredients — not suitable for vegans.
- Stay on the orbital bone and away from the lash line. Do not exceed twenty minutes, and do not wear the patches overnight — a drying patch pulls moisture back out of the skin.

FAQ
Why does an eye patch contain peanut oil?
As an emollient. Peanut oil is a stable, inexpensive fatty oil and Kose uses it here at the end of the list, so in a small proportion. That does not make it safe for someone with a peanut allergy: refined peanut oil is usually low in residual protein, but low is not none, and this is a product worn for twenty minutes against the skin around the eye. If you have a peanut or tree-nut allergy, do not use it.
Can I use these while pregnant or breastfeeding?
Ask your doctor. The essence contains retinyl palmitate, a vitamin A ester. Many clinicians advise caution with all topical vitamin A derivatives during pregnancy and breastfeeding, even though a short-contact cosmetic is a very different exposure from oral vitamin A.
Can I put them on my eyelids?
No. The patches are shaped for the under-eye and the periorbital area, and the essence contains ethanol and a vitamin A ester — neither belongs on the eyelid or near the lash line. The corners of the mouth are the other zone Kose recommends.
Is this product halal or suitable for vegans?
Not vegan. The essence contains hydrolysed elastin and water-soluble collagen, both animal- or marine-derived. Kose publishes no halal certification. The product carries no halal certification — Japanese domestic cosmetics are rarely certified — so if certification itself matters to you, this product does not have it.
Is this an authentic Japanese product?
