Description
La Mente Placenta Serum, Professional Size, 100 ml
Overview
La Mente is a Japanese salon-channel skincare maker, and this is its placenta serum in the 100 ml professional size — three to five times the volume of a retail serum, which is what makes it economical if you use it every day and what makes it awkward if you do not.
Our previous page said this serum "removes pigmentation" and has "powerful anti-aging action". Neither sentence survives contact with the rules a cosmetic sells under in Europe, the Gulf or Japan itself, and neither is something we can verify. They are gone. What remains is what the product is, how a 100 ml professional bottle is actually used, and an honest account of what we do and do not know about its composition.
Comparable products are in Japanese Serum and Japanese Whitening Skincare.Key Benefits
- ✓ Professional 100 ml size — the volume salons buy, at a per-millilitre cost retail bottles do not reach
- ✓ Placenta extract as the named component, which is what the product is built around
- ✓ A serum step, meant to sit between toner and moisturiser rather than replace either
- ✓ Salon-channel sourcing: a brand our suppliers carry, not a parallel import
- ✓ Suits a routine you already run daily — 100 ml is a long commitment to one product
- ✓ Sold as a cosmetic and described as one, with no medical or pigment-removal claim
- ✓ Ships from Kobe in its Japanese retail packaging

Who Is This For?
- People already committed to a serum step who want a professional-size bottle rather than a 30 ml one
- Anyone who has used placenta essences before and knows how their skin responds to them
- Therapists and salon owners buying at working volume
- People comfortable buying a Japanese salon product whose full ingredient list is on the bottle rather than online
- Not for anyone who requires halal-certified or vegan cosmetics — placenta extract is animal-derived, and this is stated plainly rather than buried
How to Use
- Cleanse and apply your toner or lotion step first. A serum on dry, unprepared skin sits on the surface.
- Dispense a small amount — for a 100 ml professional bottle, that is still only two or three drops for the whole face.
- Press it into the skin with the palms rather than rubbing it in. Include the neck if that is part of your routine.
- Follow with your usual moisturiser to seal it, and with sunscreen in the morning.
Frequency: Once or twice a day. A 100 ml bottle used twice daily still lasts months — it is a size for a habit, not a trial
Full Ingredients
The component this product is named and sold for is placenta extract. Beyond that we are going to be straightforward with you: we could not locate a maker ingredient page for this SKU, and we have not written a plausible INCI list in its place. What a placenta serum usually contains is not the same as what this one contains, and the difference is exactly the kind of thing that matters to somebody with an allergy.
The full declaration is printed on the bottle. If a specific ingredient decides your purchase, write to us before ordering and we will photograph or transcribe the label.
Cautions
- This is a cosmetic. It does not remove existing pigmentation, and it is not a treatment for any diagnosed skin condition — our previous description said otherwise and was wrong
- Contains placenta extract, an animal-derived ingredient. Not suitable if you require halal certification or vegan cosmetics
- Try a small amount on the inner forearm before the first full use, especially if your skin reacts easily
- Avoid contact with the eyes; if the product gets in, rinse immediately with plenty of water
- Stop using it if redness, itching, swelling or stinging appears, and see a doctor if it does not settle
- If you are pregnant, breastfeeding or being treated for a hormone-sensitive condition, ask your doctor before adding a placenta product to your routine
- This is not a medicine and it does not treat a diagnosed condition. If a skin problem persists or worsens, see a doctor rather than continuing with a cosmetic
- Store away from direct sunlight and heat — a car in summer is the usual way these products are ruined
- Keep out of reach of children

FAQ
Your old page said it removes pigmentation. Why doesn't this one?
Because a cosmetic may not say that, and because we cannot show it to be true. Removing existing pigmentation is a claim in the territory of prescription treatments and clinical procedures; a serum sold as a cosmetic in Japan, the EU or the Gulf is not permitted to make it, and we were not entitled to write it on your behalf. If pigmentation is what you are treating, that is a dermatology conversation.
What does placenta extract actually do in a serum?
It is used as a conditioning ingredient and has been a staple of the Japanese salon channel for decades. What it does for any individual is not something we are going to overstate — and the honest position is that a page which cannot name the full formulation should be modest about the effect of one component within it.
Is it halal? Is it vegan?
Neither. Placenta extract is animal-derived. We have put that in the details table, in the cautions and here, because it is the single most important thing to know about this product before ordering and it should not require reading an ingredient list to discover.
Why can you not tell me the full ingredients?
La Mente sells through the professional channel and does not publish a consumer ingredient page for this SKU that we could find. Rather than assemble a likely-looking list — which is how a store ends up telling somebody with an allergy something untrue — we say what we know and offer to read the bottle. Ask us before you order and we will.
Is 100 ml too much to start with?
Possibly, and that is worth saying on a product page. This is the professional size. If you have never used a placenta essence, a smaller retail bottle from any brand is a more sensible trial, and you can come back to this one when you know it suits you.
