How to Use
- Take the cap off and turn the bottle upside down once so the ball loads.
- Roll a thin, even layer onto clean, dry underarm skin — a wet or freshly showered underarm dilutes it.
- Wait until it has dried before putting a shirt on. This is the step people skip and then blame the product for marks.
- If crystals have formed and the ball will not turn, free it with a finger, then use as normal. Close the cap firmly afterwards.

Full Ingredients
Active ingredients (the two the quasi-drug approval rests on):
- Aluminium chlorohydrate (クロルヒドロキシアルミニウム) — the antiperspirant salt. It caps the sweat duct at the surface so less sweat reaches the skin.
- Isopropyl methylphenol, IPMP (イソプロピルメチルフェノール) — a bactericide. Sweat itself is close to odourless; the smell comes from skin bacteria breaking it down, and this is the part that addresses them.
This product is a Japanese quasi-drug (医薬部外品): a regulated tier between a cosmetic and a medicine. It carries a declared active ingredient and an officially approved purpose, and it may not claim anything beyond that purpose. FAQ
Will it stop the sweat, or only the smell?
Both, and by two different ingredients. The aluminium chlorohydrate is what reduces the sweat that reaches the skin; the IPMP is what deals with the bacteria that turn sweat into odour. A product with only the second is a deodorant, not an antiperspirant, and it will not keep a shirt dry.
Unscented — does that mean it has no smell at all?
No. Unscented means no perfume was added. The base itself, which includes menthol and ethanol, has a faint note of its own that fades within about a minute. If you need something with genuinely no smell on the skin at any point, no antiperspirant of this construction will give you that.
Can I put it on straight after a shower or after shaving?
After a shower, dry the skin first — wet skin dilutes the layer and it will not set. After shaving, wait. Lion asks specifically that it not be used immediately after hair removal, because a freshly shaved underarm has small breaks in it that sting and can react.
Is there a problem shipping it by air?
It needs declaring. Lion states on its own product page that this item is dangerous goods under the Japanese Civil Aeronautics Act, because of the alcohol in the formula, and asks the sender to tell the carrier before handing it over. We do that. A few destinations and a few courier services still decline it — if you are not sure about yours, write to us before you order rather than after.
