Description
Natural Healthy Standard Mineral Enzyme Smoothie — Powdered Plant Ferment Drink
Overview
A Japanese powdered drink mix from Natural Healthy Standard, made by I-ne. The base is a ferment drawn from around 200 kinds of vegetables and fruits, and a serving of about 6 g — roughly two of the enclosed spoons — comes to 23.16 kcal. You stir it into water or milk.
An important correction to what this page used to say
Our previous description stated that this drink is "permitted for consumption by everyone without exception, including pregnant women and children."
The manufacturer's own instruction for use says the opposite. I-ne asks that women who are pregnant or breastfeeding refrain from using this product, on the grounds that pregnancy and breastfeeding are physically sensitive periods — and the company sells a separate smoothie formulated with folic acid for that group precisely because this one is not intended for them.
So our page was telling pregnant women that a weight-management drink was safe for them, against the maker's own instruction, and steering them away from the product the maker made for them. The sentence has been removed in all four languages and the maker's actual instruction now appears in Cautions.
Other Japanese diet and meal-support products are in Diet.

Who Is This For?
- People who want a low-calorie flavoured drink to have alongside a meal or in place of a snack, and who like the idea of a multi-plant ferment base.
- Anyone who finds it easier to drink vegetables than to eat them, and understands this is an addition to a diet rather than a replacement for one.
- People who want the numbers stated per serving rather than per 100 g, which is how a powder's calorie count is usually made to look small.
- Not for: anyone pregnant or breastfeeding — the maker asks this group to refrain, and makes a separate folic-acid smoothie for them. Also not a product to give a child on a weight-loss rationale, and not a meal replacement unless you have built the rest of the meal around it.
How to Use
- Measure about 6 g — roughly two of the enclosed spoons.
- Add it to around 100 ml of cold water or milk in a glass or shaker.
- Stir or shake until no powder is left at the bottom. It dissolves faster in a shaker than with a spoon.
- Drink it fresh. A made-up powder drink separates on standing.
- Milk makes it thicker and more filling; water keeps it at the calorie count on this page.
Frequency: Once a day is the usual pattern. The maker does not specify a maximum.
Full Ingredients
Nutrition per serving of approximately 6 g, as published by the maker:
- Energy 23.16 kcal
- Protein 0.16 g
- Fat 0.19 g
- Carbohydrate 5.20 g
- Sodium 11.4 mg
- Calcium 41.83 mg
- Magnesium 2.90 mg
The base of the powder is a ferment derived from approximately 200 kinds of vegetables, fruits, berries, roots and algae.
A full ingredient declaration is not published for the current formulation at any address we could reach, and this line has been reformulated and renamed since the older green-smoothie version, so we do not know with certainty which version and which flavour is in the pack you receive. We are not going to reconstruct a list. If you have a food allergy, please ask us to photograph the panel before you order.
One note on the word "enzyme" in the product name: the material is a plant ferment. Enzymes taken by mouth are digested as protein like any other, so this page describes the ferment as an ingredient and does not claim an enzymatic action inside the body.
Cautions
- The maker asks women who are pregnant or breastfeeding to refrain from using this product, on the grounds that these are physically sensitive periods. I-ne makes a separate folic-acid smoothie intended for that group. Our previous description said the opposite; it was wrong.
- This is a food, not a medicine. No health claim is notified for it in Japan, and it is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease.
- It is not a meal replacement on its own. A ~6 g serving is about 23 kcal, which is not a meal, and treating it as one is how people end up under-eating.
- If you are under medical treatment or taking any medicine, ask your doctor before adding it to your routine.
- A full ingredient declaration is not published for the current formulation. If you have a food allergy, ask us to photograph the panel before ordering.
- Stop drinking it and seek advice if you feel unwell.
- Not suitable as a weight-loss product for children.
- Keep out of reach of children and store away from direct sunlight, heat and humidity.
- Close the pack firmly after opening and use it within a reasonable time; powders take up moisture.

FAQ
Can I drink this while pregnant?
No — the maker asks pregnant and breastfeeding women to refrain. I-ne makes a separate smoothie with folic acid intended for that group. Our page used to say this drink was suitable for everyone including pregnant women, and that was the opposite of the manufacturer's instruction. We are sorry it stood as long as it did.
Does it cause weight loss?
It is a food and no claim of that kind is notified for it in Japan, so we cannot and will not say so. What it is: a flavoured drink at about 23 kcal a serving. Whether that helps depends entirely on what it replaces in your day.
Is it a meal replacement?
Not on its own. Twenty-three calories is not a meal. Made with milk it is more filling, but it is designed as an addition to a diet rather than a substitute for eating.
What are the 'enzymes'?
The base is a ferment made from around 200 kinds of plant material. Enzymes swallowed by mouth are broken down and digested like any other protein, so we describe the ferment as an ingredient of the powder and do not claim it acts as an enzyme inside the body.
Where is the full ingredient list?
Not published for the current formulation at any address we could reach, and this line has been reformulated and renamed since the older green-smoothie version. Rather than reconstruct a list, we say so. If you have an allergy, ask us and we will photograph the pack before dispatch.
