FAQ
Does the microcurrent do anything, or is it the rolling?
Most of what you feel and see straight after using it is the rolling: mechanical massage moves interstitial fluid, which is why a face looks less puffy and more defined for a while afterwards. The solar cell produces a very low current — enough to be felt as a faint tingle by some people and not at all by others. ReFa positions it as part of the experience rather than as a treatment, and that is the honest framing. If the tingle is what makes you use the device daily, it is doing useful work.
Can I use it with oils, creams or a sheet mask?
Oils and creams are fine and in fact help — the rollers glide instead of dragging, which is what you want on a face. A sheet mask underneath works too, if you like the sensation. What you must not use it with is a scrub or any gritty exfoliant: abrasive particles will scratch the platinum finish, and once the rollers are scratched they no longer glide smoothly, which is the whole point of them.
Is this an authentic Japanese product?
