Description

Limario EX Retinol Salon Mask 100 g — Weekly Rinse-Off Retinol Step

Overview

A retinol mask made by Beauty Act for Japanese beauty salons, supplied here in the 100 g professional size. It is a thick paste you apply in an opaque layer, leave for 5 to 10 minutes and wipe off — a weekly step rather than a daily one.

Alongside retinol the declared formula carries vitamin C, vitamin E, macadamia oil, squalane, collagen, elastin, hyaluronic acid, Scutellaria baicalensis extract, tea extract and fruit extracts. Because it is a rinse-off format with a short contact time, it is a gentler way to have retinol in a routine than a leave-on serum — but it is still retinol, with the same rules: not in pregnancy, and sunscreen every day. At one or two applications a week a 100 g container is a realistic several-month supply for one person. This is the smaller decanted size: if you know you like the mask and want the factory container, the 500 g listing is the professional original. Ships from Kobe, Japan.

Key Benefits

  • ✓ Retinol in a rinse-off format — short contact time, easier to tolerate than a leave-on retinol
  • ✓ 100 g salon size means a very low cost per application compared with a per-treatment salon price
  • ✓ Thick, opaque paste that stays put in a proper mask layer
  • ✓ Also declares vitamin C, vitamin E, macadamia oil, squalane and hyaluronic acid as conditioning agents
  • ✓ Skin feels smoother and softer to the touch after rinsing
  • ✓ Fits a once- or twice-weekly slot without disrupting the rest of a routine
  • ✓ Authentic Japanese salon product, dispatched from Kobe with tracking

Who Is This For?

  • You already use retinol and want a gentler weekly format alongside or instead of a leave-on one
  • Your skin is normal to dry and your concern is texture and dullness rather than active breakouts
  • You want a salon-format tub rather than single-use sachets
  • You are willing to wear sunscreen daily — that is not optional with any retinol product
  • Not for you if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, or if your skin is currently irritated or freshly exfoliated

How to Use

  1. Patch test on the inner forearm before the first full application.
  2. Cleanse the face, then apply your usual lotion or toner.
  3. Apply the mask over the whole face in a layer thick enough that the skin does not show through, avoiding the eye area and lips.
  4. Leave for 5–10 minutes — do not extend the time in the hope of a stronger effect.
  5. Remove with a sponge or warm damp cloth, then continue with emulsion or cream.

Frequency: 1–2 times per week; start with once a week and only increase if the skin is comfortable

Full Ingredients

Declared components: retinol, vitamin C, vitamin E, macadamia oil, squalane, collagen, elastin, hyaluronic acid, Scutellaria baicalensis extract, tea extract, fruit extracts.

The manufacturer publishes this component list rather than a full INCI declaration for the salon format, so we reproduce exactly what is declared. The list printed on the container you receive is the authoritative one — read it before first use if you have known allergies, particularly a nut allergy, since the formula declares macadamia oil. Collagen and elastin are usually animal-derived and the origin is not stated on this label.

Please note: this 100 g size is decanted into a plain plastic container and is not the factory-printed salon packaging. Printed instructions in Russian are supplied with it.

Cautions

  • Contains retinol: do not use during pregnancy or breastfeeding without asking a doctor first
  • Retinol increases sensitivity to sunlight — wear sunscreen daily throughout the period you use this mask
  • Do not combine with acid peels, prescription retinoids or other exfoliants on the same day
  • Contains macadamia oil — avoid if you have a nut allergy
  • Do not exceed 10 minutes of contact time; a longer application does not give a better result and raises the risk of irritation
  • Avoid the eye area and lips; rinse with plenty of water if the product gets into the eyes
  • Collagen and elastin are usually of animal origin and the source is not declared, so this product is not suitable for a vegan routine and cannot be confirmed as halal
  • Stop if redness, stinging or persistent flaking develops; patch test first; keep out of reach of children

FAQ

Is this as strong as a prescription retinoid?

No. This is a cosmetic rinse-off mask with retinol, not a prescription retinoid such as tretinoin. The contact time is 5–10 minutes and then it comes off, which is precisely why many people tolerate it better than a leave-on product. Do not treat it as a substitute for anything a dermatologist has prescribed.

Can I use it if I am pregnant?

We would not recommend it without your doctor's approval. Topical retinol is routinely avoided during pregnancy and breastfeeding as a precaution, and while a rinse-off mask has a short contact time, that caution still applies. Ask your doctor, or simply pause the mask until afterwards.

Why does it say it is a salon product?

Because it is made for professional use and is not usually sold in Japanese shops. Salons buy it in bulk sizes and charge per treatment. Selling it as a retail item is what makes the per-application cost low — but it also means you take on the salon's responsibility for timing and patch testing yourself.

Is it halal or vegan?

Neither can be confirmed. The declared list includes collagen and elastin, normally sourced from animals such as fish, cattle or poultry, and the manufacturer does not state the origin on this label. There is no halal certification for this product. If ingredient origin matters to you, this is not the mask to choose.

How long will one container last?

At one or two applications a week a 100 g container is a realistic several-month supply for one person. This is the smaller decanted size: if you know you like the mask and want the factory container, the 500 g listing is the professional original.
