What is in the box, and what we have not been able to tell you
The set contains three products from Ryu Spa's Kumi anti-ageing line: a lotion (toner), a serum and a cream. Our previous description said exactly that much and then stopped — it never named the three products, never gave their individual sizes, and never said how much product you receive. At ¥31,050 that is not a detail. It is the thing you are buying.
We do not have the individual product names and net contents on record, and we could not reach a Ryu Spa publication that lists them. So this page itemises the set by type and function, states plainly that the individual volumes are not published, and we have flagged it internally as the first thing to fix on this listing. How to Use
- After cleansing, apply the lotion to damp skin. Press it in with the palms rather than wiping it on with a cotton pad — a Japanese lotion is a hydrating step, not a toner in the astringent sense.
- Apply the serum next, while the lotion is still slightly damp. Two to three drops for the whole face.
- Seal with the cream. This is the step that holds the previous two in place; skipping it on dry skin wastes most of the set.
- Wait about thirty seconds between steps. Layering onto a wet layer dilutes it; layering onto a fully dry one leaves it sitting on top.
- In the morning, finish with sunscreen.
Frequency: Twice a day, morning and evening. Introduce the three products over a week rather than all on one night.

On the deep sea water: Kume Island is a real and well-documented Okinawan deep-seawater resource, drawn by the prefecture's own facility, and it is genuinely the distinctive thing about this brand. What it contributes to a cosmetic is a mineral profile and a stable, low-bacteria water base — both checkable. Our old page went further and said the water is "extracted from a depth of 612 meters" and has "circulated in the depths of the Earth for more than 2000 years, maintaining exceptional purity". The depth figure is plausible for the Kume intake; the residence time and "exceptional purity" are unsourced and the sentence was written to impress rather than to inform. Neither is repeated here.

What is botan-bofu?
Peucedanum japonicum, known in Okinawa as chomeisou — the 'longevity herb'. It is a real regional plant with a long history of use in Okinawan cooking and preparations, and it appears here as a fermented extract. We name it as an ingredient and do not attach a physiological claim to it.
Is the Kume Island deep sea water a marketing story?
The resource is real — Kume-jima has a prefectural deep-seawater facility and the water is genuinely used across Okinawan products. What it contributes to a cosmetic is a mineral profile and a stable, low-bacteria water base. What we removed from our old page was the claim that it has 'circulated in the depths of the Earth for more than 2000 years, maintaining exceptional purity', which we could not source and which was written to impress rather than to inform.
Why three ceramides rather than one?
Ceramide NP, AP and EOP are different lipid species and skin's own barrier contains a mixture of them, alongside phytosphingosine. A formula carrying three plus phytosphingosine is a more complete barrier-lipid set than one carrying a single ceramide. That is a description of the formulation, not a promise about results.
Should I start all three at once?
We would not. Patch-test each separately and introduce them over about a week — lotion, then serum, then cream. If something reacts, three simultaneous new products give you no way to tell which one it was.
