An important correction first, because the previous version of this page had it wrong: this is a body product, and the instructions here are for the body. The old text told you to distribute it over damp hair and not rinse it out — those are shampoo instructions, and following them would have put chilli extract on your scalp. How to Use
- In the shower, wet the skin you are going to treat.
- Squeeze the gel-scrub onto your palm — a walnut-sized amount per limb is plenty.
- Massage into the body in firm circles, working towards the heart. Keep to arms, legs, hips and abdomen.
- Leave for two to three minutes if the warmth is comfortable. Do not extend it.
- Rinse off thoroughly with warm water, then wash your hands.
- Never use it on the face, the scalp, the genital area or freshly shaved skin.
Frequency: Once or twice a week. This is a physical scrub with a warming agent — more often is not better for the skin barrier.

Sana does not publish the full INCI list for this product online. Two corrections to the previous version of this page: sea salt is an abrasive and a mild humectant, not something that acts on fat metabolism, and no topical scrub eliminates cellulite. The capsicum extract is the ingredient to pay attention to — it is the reason for the heat, and the reason this product needs the cautions below.

- Contains capsicum (chilli) extract and produces a deliberate warming, stinging sensation. Do not use it on broken or freshly shaved skin, keep it away from the eyes and genital area, and wash your hands thoroughly afterwards.
- Contains honey, a bee product — avoid if you are allergic to bee products, and note that the product is therefore not vegan.
- Contains animal-derived ingredients — not suitable for vegans.
- For the body only. Do not use on the face, the scalp or the hair — this is a chilli-extract body scrub, not a hair product.
- This is a cosmetic scrub. It does not act on fat metabolism, remove cellulite or change body measurements.
- Patch test on the inner forearm before first use, especially if your skin is reactive.
- Discontinue use and consult a doctor if redness, itching, swelling or persistent stinging occurs.
- Avoid contact with the eyes. If the product enters the eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of water.
- Do not apply to broken, sunburned or actively inflamed skin.
- Keep out of reach of children. Store away from direct sunlight and high temperatures.

FAQ
Why does it burn, and is that a sign it is working?
The heat comes from an ingredient that irritates nerve endings and widens surface blood vessels — capsicum in the scrub, ginger in the gel. It is a real physiological response and it does bring blood to the skin, but the intensity of the burn is not a dose meter and a stronger sting is not a better result. Wash it off if it becomes uncomfortable, never use it on broken or freshly shaved skin, and keep it away from your eyes and the genital area. Wash your hands afterwards before touching your face.
The old page said to put this on damp hair. Was that a mistake?
Yes, and a serious one. The previous description carried a how-to-use line taken from a shampoo — apply to damp hair, do not rinse out — on a product whose active sensory ingredient is chilli extract. Anyone following it literally would have put capsicum on their scalp and left it there. We have replaced the instructions with the correct ones for a body scrub: wet skin, firm circles, two to three minutes, rinse off, wash your hands. Never use this on hair, scalp or face.
Is this product halal or suitable for vegans?
Contains honey, a bee product — avoid if you are allergic to bee products, and note that the product is therefore not vegan. The product carries no halal certification — Japanese domestic cosmetics are rarely certified — so if certification itself matters to you, this product does not have it.
The packaging is in Japanese — how do I know what I am using?
The carton and bottle carry Japanese-language labelling, because this is stock made for the Japanese domestic market. Where an ingredient list appears on this page, it is translated from that labelling or from the manufacturer's own published data; where the manufacturer does not publish one, the ingredients section says so rather than filling the gap. Either way, send us a photo of anything unclear on the box after delivery and we will translate it, and ask us before ordering if you need the full label list first.
Will I pay customs duty or import VAT?
