Description
Spa Treatment HAS Bio Mask R — Biocellulose Sheet Mask, 4 pcs
Overview
A biocellulose sheet mask saturated with a rich essence. The biocellulose sheet — grown by fermenting coconut water — has very fine fibres, so it clings closely to the face and holds moisture against the skin while you wear it. The essence includes niacinamide, β-glucan and a range of plant extracts.
Spa Treatment is a professional skincare line from the Japanese manufacturer Wave Corporation, sold mainly through salons and aesthetic clinics in Japan. The eX range is its salon-grade tier.
Please read the ingredients section before buying. This mask contains two ingredients of human origin, which are not permitted in cosmetics sold in the European Union. It is a Japanese domestic product and we offer it as such; the FAQ below explains what that means for you.

Who Is This For?

- Shoppers ordering to Japan or outside the EU who have read the human-origin note and are comfortable with it

How to Use
- Use on cleansed skin, after your lotion step.
- Open one sachet, unfold the biocellulose sheet and any protective film, and lay it over the face.
- Smooth it to fit around the eyes, nose and mouth, and leave it on for about 10–15 minutes.
- Remove the sheet and press the remaining essence into the skin — do not rinse.
- Follow with a moisturiser to seal it in.
Frequency: Occasional treatment use, for example once or twice a week. One box contains four masks.
Full Ingredients

Two ingredients here are of human origin (the exosomes and the adipocyte conditioned medium extract) — see Cautions, this is the most important information on the page. The list ends in “and others”, so it is not exhaustive; read the full list on the package you receive.

Cautions
- Contains an ingredient derived from cultured human cells. Ingredients of human origin are not permitted in cosmetics sold in the European Union (Regulation (EC) No 1223/2009, Annex II). This is a Japanese domestic cosmetic and is offered on that basis; if you are ordering into the EU, please read the FAQ below before you buy.
- Because of those human-derived actives, this mask is not vegan and is not acceptable under most halal interpretations.
- Remove the mask if you feel any stinging or discomfort; do not leave a sheet mask on longer than directed, as over-long wear can dry rather than hydrate the skin.
- Patch test on the inner forearm before first use, especially if your skin is reactive.
- Discontinue use and consult a doctor if redness, itching, swelling or persistent stinging occurs.
- Avoid contact with the eyes. If the product enters the eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of water.
- Do not apply to broken, sunburned or actively inflamed skin.
- Keep out of reach of children. Store away from direct sunlight and high temperatures.

FAQ
This contains a human-derived ingredient — what does that mean for me?
It means the active is grown from cultured human cells rather than from a plant or an animal. Japan permits this class of ingredient in cosmetics and regulates it; the European Union does not permit it at all, because Annex II of the EU Cosmetics Regulation prohibits cells, tissues and products of human origin in cosmetic products. That prohibition is about the risk of transmitting disease through human-sourced material, and it applies regardless of how the ingredient performs. Practically: this is a Japanese domestic product, we ship it as such, and an EU customs authority may take a view on it. It is also, unavoidably, neither vegan nor acceptable under most halal interpretations. If any of that is a problem for you, we would rather you knew before ordering than after.
What is biocellulose and why does it matter for a sheet mask?
Biocellulose is a sheet material grown by fermenting coconut water rather than cut from cotton or non-woven fabric. Its fibres are extremely fine, so the sheet drapes closely over the contours of the face and holds the essence against the skin instead of letting it evaporate. In practice that usually means a more comfortable, better-adhering mask — the trade-off is that biocellulose masks tend to cost more than ordinary cotton sheets.
How is this different from the other Spa Treatment exosome products?
It is the sheet-mask format of the same human-derived actives you will see in the brand's exo essence and related items. The mask delivers them in a single-use, wear-and-remove form rather than a bottle you dose daily. The same human-origin and EU-compliance points apply to all of them, so read the ingredients note whichever format you are considering.
Can I use it around the eyes?
Sheet masks are designed for the face, with cut-outs around the eyes, so keep the essence out of the eyes themselves. If any essence gets into an eye, rinse it immediately with plenty of water. The delicate under-eye skin is best treated with a product intended for that area rather than a full-face sheet.
Will I pay customs duty or import VAT?
That depends on your country and on the declared value of the parcel, not on us. We ship from Japan with a correct customs declaration and full tracking; any duty or import VAT your country charges is collected by your local carrier or customs office on delivery. Check your national de-minimis threshold before ordering if you want to avoid a surprise.
