Description
Aquarius Powder Sports Drink Mix — 48 g per Litre
Overview
Aquarius is Coca-Cola Japan's sports drink, and the powder makes it by the litre: one 48 g sachet, one litre of water, stir. It is the crisper of the two powdered drinks we carry — lighter-bodied and more strongly flavoured than Pocari Sweat powder, with arginine and non-sugar sweeteners in the formula, which is how it comes in at 186 kcal per litre rather than the high 200s.
That combination is the reason to choose it: if you are drinking two or three litres across a training session or a long shift outdoors, the difference between 186 and 288 kcal a litre adds up, and a lighter body is easier to keep drinking in volume. For salt with no fluid at all, see the Kabaya salt tablets.
Salt is not the whole answer to heat. Sweat costs you water and sodium together, and replacing one without the other does not work — salt without fluid concentrates you further, fluid without salt can dilute you. Whatever you take from this shelf, take it with water. And none of these products treats heat illness: if someone stops sweating, becomes confused, or has a body temperature that keeps climbing, that is an emergency and needs medical help, not a tablet.

Who Is This For?
- People who drink sports drink by the litre and want the calorie count to reflect that
- Anyone who finds Pocari too sweet or too soft — this is the crisper of the two
- Gyms, teams and families making up a jug rather than opening bottles
- Not for you if you avoid acesulfame K or sucralose — both are in the formula
- Not an oral rehydration solution; for illness-related fluid loss use a product made for that
How to Use
- Empty one 48 g sachet into a 1 litre bottle or jug.
- Add 1 litre of cold water. Do not make it stronger than that.
- Stir or shake until no powder is left at the bottom.
- Chill before drinking if you can — cold fluid is easier to keep taking in volume.
- Refrigerate once mixed and finish it within the day.
Frequency: As needed during heat or exertion, always with water
Ingredients & Nutrition
Ingredients: sugars (sugar produced in Japan, glucose), salt / citric acid, sodium citrate, flavour, arginine, potassium chloride, sweeteners (acesulfame K, sucralose), magnesium sulfate, calcium lactate, antioxidant (vitamin C).
Nutrition, per 48 g sachet (one prepared litre): energy 186 kcal · carbohydrate 46 g · salt equivalent 1.0 g. That is about 19 kcal and 0.1 g of salt per 100 ml prepared.
What is not published. Magnesium sulfate and calcium lactate are in the ingredient list, and potassium chloride with them, but Coca-Cola Japan does not publish per-serving figures for potassium, calcium or magnesium on this product the way Otsuka does for Pocari. If those numbers are what you are shopping on, the Pocari panel is the one with them. We are not going to estimate them from the ingredient order.
Sweeteners and arginine. Acesulfame K and sucralose are both here, which is how the calorie count stays at 186 for a litre. Arginine is an amino acid included across the Aquarius range; we make no claim about what it does for you, because Coca-Cola Japan makes none we can cite.
Allergens: none declared.
Cautions
- Dissolve in water only. Do not eat the powder undiluted.
- Do not mix stronger than one sachet per litre.
- Contains acesulfame K and sucralose. Check the label if you avoid non-sugar sweeteners.
- Once prepared, keep it cold and drink it the same day.
- This is a soft drink, not a medicine and not an oral rehydration solution. For illness-related fluid loss, use a product made for that and take medical advice.
- Store sachets away from direct sunlight, heat and humidity, and keep them out of reach of young children.

FAQ
How many sachets are in a box — 5 or 30?
Five. Each sachet makes one litre, so a box makes five litres. If you have seen the number 30 attached to this product, it comes from the web address of this page, which we have left alone so that existing links keep working. Five is what ships. If your order does not match, tell us and we will fix it that day.
How much water per sachet?
One litre per 48 g sachet. Do not make it stronger — a more concentrated drink leaves the stomach more slowly, so it rehydrates you later, not sooner. Cold water and a good stir; it dissolves without a shaker.
Does it contain artificial sweeteners?
Yes — acesulfame K and sucralose, alongside sugar and glucose. That is deliberate and it is why a prepared litre is 186 kcal rather than nearly 300. If you avoid those sweeteners, Pocari Sweat powder uses sugar and glucose only.
How much potassium, calcium and magnesium does it have?
We do not know, and we are not going to estimate. Potassium chloride, calcium lactate and magnesium sulfate are all in the ingredient list, but Coca-Cola Japan does not publish per-serving mineral figures for this product the way Otsuka does for Pocari. If you are choosing on those numbers, the Pocari page has them.
Which should I buy, this or Pocari?
If you drink volume — two or three litres across a session — this one, for the lighter body and the lower calorie load. If you are drinking because you feel unwell or overheated and want something soft and low-acid, Pocari. If you need salt and cannot carry liquid, the Kabaya tablets. All of it is in Summer Hydration & Electrolytes.
