No, and we should not suggest it does. This is a cosmetic, not a medicated quasi-drug: vitamin C is declared as a moisturising ingredient and azelaic acid as skin-conditioning. The Melano CC products that carry an approved anti-spot claim in Japan are the medicated essences, lotions and creams, which are a separate category.
Is azelaic acid here doing what azelaic acid does in a prescription cream?
