How to Use
- Cleanse, then prepare the skin with your toner. Rohto is explicit that the mask comes after the toner.

- Remove it and pat whatever serum is left into the skin.
- Follow with serum, emulsion or cream. Rohto puts all three after the mask, not before it.

Rohto names four ingredients for this mask and gives all four the same declared role — moisturising ingredients (うるおい成分): vitamin C, a vitamin E derivative, grapefruit fruit extract and lemon fruit extract.
The vitamin E is worth being precise about. Rohto declares a derivative, not tocopherol itself, and does not publish which one. A page that names tocopherol is guessing, so this one does not.

Is this the whitening Melano CC product?
No. This mask is a cosmetic (化粧品). The Melano CC items that carry an approved anti-spot claim in Japan are quasi-drugs (医薬部外品) — the medicated essences, lotions, milk and creams. Here vitamin C is declared only as a moisturising ingredient, and the page makes no brightening or even-tone claim because the product is not registered for one.
How often can I actually use it?
Daily, and the pack is priced and sized on that assumption: 28 sheets and 280 mL works out to 10 mL a sheet. If your skin is reactive, the citrus extracts and the fragrance are the components most likely to be the reason, so start every other day.
Which vitamin E is in it?
Rohto declares a vitamin E derivative and does not say which one. We will not name a specific molecule we cannot source. If you need to check a particular derivative for a known sensitivity, write to us and we will read the full declaration off the box in Kobe before you order.
Why does it dry out before five minutes are up?
Because it is a light, thin mask by design, not because the box is faulty. Japanese reviewers have said the same thing consistently for years. Treat five minutes as the direction rather than a target to beat, and press the sheet down at the edges if the room is dry.
Should I use a serum before or after?
After. Rohto's own order is toner, then mask, then serum, emulsion or cream. Using a serum first puts a layer between the sheet and the skin, which is the opposite of what a serum-soaked mask is for.
